First in California
Monterey is a city of “firsts”: it was the first state capitol, with the first state theater, and home to the first federal courthouse in California. So, it is fitting for Monterey to showcase the prototype of a “precision component assembly system” house in California. The system is designed to increase the speed, reduce the cost, and nearly eliminate waste in the construction of quality housing. Success on Cass St. will prove a new method of construction and promises to revolutionize housing construction in California.
Planning and Connecting with Partners
Our team and their partners are working on planning documents for a single affordable residential unit in downtown Monterey. Demolition of the Cass Street site was recently completed and we’ll keep in touch as we proceed towards construction.
We continue to meet with local stakeholders, cities, non-profits, and landowners who are interested in building or supporting accessible housing. The housing gap keeps getting bigger and we need to catch up!
Our New Name
We’ve also rebranded, our new company name is RE:VISION West. It captures the essence of what we are trying to do here in Monterey County. To read more about that, check out our "About" page here.
